Job summary

JetBrains is building JetBrains Air, a new agentic development environment. You will own the web surface and automations sub-team, shaping the experience from ground up.

You will design interfaces, establish cross-team workflows, and push design systems forward while leveraging AI-assisted prototyping to accelerate ideas. You’ll collaborate with developers and product stakeholders to define scope, review, and deliver shipping surfaces that impact developer tooling.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product design experience with proven business impact.
• Ownership to carry features from design to production.
• Excellent cross-team delivery with minimal context and guidance.
• Active AI user, familiar with AI tools like Cursor or Claude.

Responsibilities

• Design the web interface for Air: team management, automation setup, and results overview.
• Shape the design process for the automations sub-team with developers.
• Translate vague directions into defined scope, plan, and shipped surface.
• Evolve the design system across web and desktop for consistency.
• Use AI for prototyping to move ideas forward faster.
• Participate in cross-team demos and quarterly planning with a design perspective.
