Job summary

Group 1 Automotive seeks an HRIS Analyst – Payroll, Absence & Time Tracking (PATT) to configure and optimize Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence. You will collaborate with Payroll, HR, Benefits, and Finance to translate business needs into scalable Workday solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Workday Payroll, Absence and Time Entry configuration experience.
• Understanding of payroll concepts; payroll processing experience is a plus.
• Experience with test planning and execution.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into effective system solutions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to partner effectively with both technical and functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain payroll-related components including earnings, deductions, calculations, eligibility rules, and related business processes.
• Configure Time Tracking including time calculations, entry rules, validations, eligibility, overtime, and related processes.
• Configure Absence functionality including time-off plans, accruals, eligibility rules, carryover rules, and related calculations.
• Perform configuration changes per HRIS change control and governance standards.
• Troubleshoot Workday configuration, data, and processing issues impacting payroll, time, and absence.
• Partner with Payroll and other stakeholders to translate requirements into Workday solutions.
• Evaluate requested changes and recommend configuration approaches based on Workday capabilities.
• Identify upstream and downstream impacts of proposed configuration changes.
• Develop test scenarios and execute unit, regression, and system testing for changes.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing and evaluate Workday releases for Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence.
