Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Process Engineer – Level 5 in Clearfield, UT. This role partners with design engineering, production, and cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing issues, optimize safety, quality, cost, and efficiency, and implement corrective actions to improve process performance.

The position features a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off. The candidate will analyze production data, support tooling/equipment implementation, maintain manufacturing

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of relevant experience depending on degree level.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Experience with aerospace specifications and drawings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Developing and improving manufacturing processes.
• Create and maintain detailed work instructions for products/processes.
• Coordinate with Design Engineering on manufacturability issues.
• Coordinate with production on day-to-day activities and resolve processing issues.
• Evaluate and disposition discrepant hardware.
• Troubleshoot processes to improve safety, quality, and cost.
• Analyze processing data to identify trends and drive corrective actions.
• Maintain manufacturing bill of materials (MBOM).
• Lead cause and corrective action activities to eliminate defects.
• Collaborate with concurrent engineering for Build-to-Packages.
