Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Process Engineer to support our process engineering team at the Promontory, Utah plant. This role emphasizes creating and refining manufacturing processes, ensuring safety, and collaborating with engineering to develop build-to-packages and shop floor instructions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Good organization and multi-tasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and instill a strong safety culture in daily operations.
• Develop and continuously improve manufacturing processes.
• Support manufacturing operations including composites, machining, layup and molding, bonding, primers and coatings, and complex assemblies.
• Perform root cause investigations to eliminate defects.
• Collaborate with concurrent engineering to create Build-to-Packages and planning documents.
• Prepare and present technical reviews to leadership and customers.
