Job summary

Form Energy is hiring a Staff Process Development Engineer to lead the invention and scale-up of new manufacturing processes for our Gas Diffusion Electrode (GDE). You will collaborate with Materials Science, Product Development, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality teams to translate new materials into manufacturable processes.

You’ll develop bench-to-pilot workflows, design experiments, and drive process improvements while ensuring safety and quality across rapid scale-up efforts at our

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• 7+ years of experience in process development or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience designing and executing experiments and translating results into production-ready processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of new and next-generation GDE manufacturing processes from bench-scale to pilot-line qualification.
• Design and execute experiments to characterize and optimize process parameters against quality and throughput targets.
• Partner with Materials Science and Product Development to translate new formulations into scalable processes.
• Drive root-cause investigations for process and quality excursions and implement corrective actions.
• Define process specifications and control plans and hand off to Manufacturing Engineering for scale-up.
• Train and mentor engineers and technicians supporting process development trials.
• Champion safety in the development of new processes and equipment.
