Job summary

Element Solutions Inc in New Jersey is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to participate in chemical process design and testing of new manufacturing technologies, pilot and plant scale-up, and troubleshooting process problems within the Global Process Engineering Group (GPEG) to optimize throughput and product quality.

The role requires a STEM degree with 1 year (3 years preferred) of relevant experience, and involves coordinating with R&D, Operations, Quality, Marketing for technology

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Chemistry or Chemical Engineering preferred).
• 1 year of relevant manufacturing experience (3 years preferred).
• Pilot production or scale-up experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design and implementation of manufacturing processes from the laboratory to pilot plant and scale-up.
• Conduct pilot scale experiments and tests to develop/improve production processes.
• Validate new and existing processes/equipment to improve yield and product performance.
• Coordinate with R&D, Operations, Quality, Marketing for technology transfer of new products.
• Create, edit, and maintain P&IDs.
• Develop specifications and test methods for processes.
• Test components in lab settings and design pilots for small-scale testing.
• Investigate and troubleshoot process problems.
• Monitor process capability and performance using SPC and analyses.
• Identify areas for process improvement and reduce variability.
• Exhibit professional behaviour with internal/external stakeholders.
• Utilize process simulation software to optimize production methods.
• Maintain laboratory safety protocols.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
