Job summary

Crusoe is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to join the Power Systems team in Denver, CO. This role focuses on design, commissioning, and long-term operation of power plant facilities across the USA.

You will bridge front-end design with field execution, leading capital projects and coordinating with field teams and consultants. The ideal candidate has a BSEE and 6+ years in industrial electrical engineering, NEC expertise, and experience with IEC 61850.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required with 6+ years in industrial electrical engineering.
• Strong NEC knowledge for industrial installations.
• Experience with IEC 61850 and GOOSE/MMS communication.
• Experience with protection & control coordination studies and fault analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-end engineering for capital power projects, including layout and sizing of power systems.
• Review vendor drawings and ensure design deliverables meet project specs.
• Provide technical guidance during construction and commissioning of power plant assets.
• Troubleshoot electrical failures with Field Operations and perform root-cause analysis.
• Specify and integrate high/medium voltage equipment (34.5 kV GIS, GSU transformers, MV/LV switchgear).
