Job summary

Credit Karma, a part of Intuit, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to own the technical vision for a domain within our service mesh and edge tier. You’ll design and implement scalable infrastructure, coach engineers, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable platforms.

The role emphasizes deep production experience, Go expertise, and the ability to ship meaningful work quickly in a high-traffic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience owning the technical vision for a domain or system end-to-end in a high-traffic production environment.
• Deep experience designing, building, and owning production systems code in Go and related patterns.
• Strong background operating large-scale distributed systems in production (Kubernetes, Nomad, ECS, or similar).
• Track record of establishing engineering best practices and coaching engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical vision for a domain within the service mesh and edge tier.
• Lead the technical design of complex systems and evaluate tradeoffs.
• Establish engineering best practices and drive operational excellence.
• Solve ambiguous problems and surface productivity improvements across teams.
• Coordinate work by sequencing dependencies and surfacing risks early.
• Collaborate with adjacent teams when domain directions touch their systems.
• Provide feedback and mentorship to engineers to enable independent work.
