Intuit Credit Karma is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for the Credit team. The Credit team builds systems that help millions of members understand their credit, see where they stand, and find financial products they actually qualify for, spanning data ingestion, credit modeling services, and eligibility logic.

As a staff engineer, you will lead across teams, set architecture direction, mentor engineers, and contribute to platform roadmaps.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including senior/staff level responsibilities.
• Demonstrated ownership of large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Track record of technical leadership across teams and mentoring engineers.
• Strong written and verbal communication with ability to articulate tradeoffs to product and business partners.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for cross-team initiatives in the credit domain, from problem framing to architecture and production operation.
• Design and build distributed services that handle high volumes and sensitive financial data with reliable latency and correctness.
• Identify high-leverage technical problems and drive them to resolution across organization boundaries.
• Partner with product, data science, analytics, and risk to translate business goals into technical plans.
• Mentor engineers and raise engineering quality through reviews, testing strategy, observability, and incident response.
