Job summary

Anthropic Limited is seeking an experienced backend/platform engineer to own critical identity and access systems end to end. You will shape technical strategy for how human, service, and autonomous agent identities are managed across Anthropic products.

You will work on authentication, authorization, and enterprise identity integration at scale, emphasizing reliability and security, with cross‑functional collaboration and a product‑driven mindset.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building and operating backend or platform systems at scale.
• Experience with identity, authentication, authorization, or security‑adjacent infrastructure is ideal.
• Familiar with OAuth/OIDC, SAML, SCIM, JWTs, workload identity federation, policy engines, RBAC.

Responsibilities

• Own critical, high‑traffic backend systems end to end from design to rollout.
• Shape the technical strategy for identity and access across Anthropic.
• Develop and operate scalable auth‑related services with reliability and security focus.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders for enterprise identity solutions.
