Job summary

Motive seeks a Staff Engineer for the Developer Productivity team to build the development, build, and delivery backbone across SaaS, Mobile, and Embedded/IoT products. You will drive automated pipelines, self-service tooling, and reliable platforms to accelerate engineering work.

You will mentor engineers, shape platform strategy, and implement scalable infrastructure using Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Github Actions, Tekton, and Terraform, enabling faster and safer software delivery.

Qualifications

• 6+ years engineering experience.
• Building CI/CD infrastructure with multiple pipeline solutions (Tekton, Prow, CircleCI, Jenkins, Github Actions).
• Improving the SDLC release process and reproducible builds across the org.
• Experience with containerized infrastructure and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Strong knowledge of AWS services and IaC practices (Terraform, Ansible, Helm).
• Experience in Golang, Ruby on Rails, Python or similar languages.
• Experience with large organizations and developer experience improvements.

• Define direction and initiatives for the Developer Productivity team.
• Build fully automated bootstrapping and delivery pipelines.
• Advance self-service engineering and tooling adoption.
• Improve local development experience with consistent environments.
• Create self-healing infrastructure for fast automated testing.
