Job summary

Motive seeks a Staff Engineer for the Developer Productivity team to own the development, build and delivery backbone across SaaS, Mobile and Embedded/IoT products. You’ll design automated bootstrapping, pipelines, and self‑service tooling that scale with the platform and empower engineers.

Work spans Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Github Actions, Terraform and Helm, with Golang, Ruby on Rails, and Python services. You’ll mentor engineers and drive engineering best practices across the org.

Qualifications

• 6+ years engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Define direction and initiatives for the team and platform.
• Strategize and build fully automated bootstrapping and delivery pipelines.
• Progress and evangelize self-service engineering technologies and approaches.
• Advance the local development experience while maintaining consistency.
• Build self-healing infrastructure enabling fast, robust automated testing.
• Improve the performance and reliability of existing systems.
• Host Brown Bag sessions, demos, and more to drive adoption and collaboration.
• Coach and mentor team engineers and collaborate on designs.
