Job summary

CoinDesk is seeking a senior engineering leader to architect and deliver full‑stack internal tools and automated DeFi workflows. You will own cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and multi‑chain deployments, while mentoring teams and elevating engineering standards across global collaborators.

You will drive modernization with AI tooling and ensure scalable, fault‑tolerant systems with robust testing and observability. This role reports to the Director of Engineering in New York.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of production systems experience in financial services or high-stakes environments.
• Experience mentoring engineering teams and guiding career development.
• Strong TypeScript and Python fundamentals with good tool-judgment.
• Cloud and DevOps fluency (GCP, Kubernetes, Docker).

Responsibilities

• Build internal apps using React, TypeScript, and Python.
• Automate DeFi operations and multi-chain asset deployments.
• Deploy and manage systems on GCP and Kubernetes with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Drive AI-powered engineering to accelerate full-stack development.
• Raise engineering standards via code reviews, testing, and mentorship.
• Evolve the platform architecture with industry trends.
