Redox is seeking a Staff Platform Engineer for our fully remote U.S. team. You will own platform work end‑to‑end, shaping AI-enabled engineering and observability while ensuring security, reliability, and scale.

You’ll bring deep AWS and Kubernetes experience, strong IaC practices, and a track record of turning ambiguous problems into production‑ready solutions. Join a senior, collaborative team focused on cost visibility and platform simplification.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years in cloud-native infrastructure or platform engineering with growing technical scope and impact.
• Deep, hands-on AWS experience running production systems (networking, IAM, managed services).
• Production Kubernetes expertise including cluster lifecycle, upgrades, node management, and autoscaling.
• Strong infrastructure-as-code practice (Terraform/HCL, Helm) and GitOps delivery.
• Track record of automating operational work with testing and rollback safety.
• Security-minded approach to access, secrets, and configuration, ideally in regulated environments.
• High output on ambiguous problems; able to move from prototype to production.
• Sound judgment and strong written communication; clear proposals with tradeoffs.

Aufgaben

• Own an ambiguous lane of platform work end to end: scope, prototype, experiment, then production‑ready code.
• Build foundations to let AI agents safely participate in engineering and operations: where they run, permissions, and observability.
• Maintain security, stability, and scale as traffic grows; partner with InfoSec to harden the platform.
• Consolidate tools, vendors, and patterns so humans and agents can act easily and correctly.
• Automate recurring upkeep to reduce manual effort and risk.
• Help make platform and AI costs understandable for business and technical decisions.
• Co-create platform direction with the team and platform architect; align work to roadmap.
• Contribute hands-on across infrastructure, CI/CD, container orchestration, and observability; IC role.
• Participate in on-call and own the systems you build, including incidents.
• Share knowledge through pairing, design reviews, and documentation.
