Job summary

Commure is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to join the Frameworks Team, shaping foundational systems like authentication and authorization used across the engineering organization. You will own secure, scalable platforms that support AI agent services, with strong emphasis on reliability and developer velocity.

You will work across product boundaries, architecting durable patterns, mentoring peers, and driving improvements in security, deployment, and performance as the company transforms

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with authentication and authorization systems (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWTs).
• Deep expertise in backend and distributed systems, cloud-native concepts, and secure-by-default design.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve authentication/authorization architecture across products.
• Lead design of shared platform services and reusable engineering patterns.
• Drive performance, scalability, and reliability across APIs, databases, and services.
• Improve developer productivity with CI/CD, tooling, and self-service platform capabilities.
• Establish observability standards: monitoring, logging, tracing, dashboards, and SLOs.
• Mentor engineers and lead architecture/design reviews across teams.
