Job summary

Commure is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to own and shape foundational authentication and authorization surfaces used across our engineering teams. You will design secure, scalable identity systems and contribute to the AI-enabled platform that touches every product.

You will collaborate across application, platform, and security boundaries, mentor engineers, and set standards for observability, deployment, and risk management while balancing security and speed.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building and operating production systems at scale.
• Strong authentication and authorization expertise (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT).
• Deep backend and distributed systems experience across APIs, databases, and caching.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture of core authentication/authorization surfaces across products.
• Lead the design of shared platform services and patterns for microservices.
• Improve performance, scalability, and reliability of critical systems.
• Mentor Senior and Staff engineers and lead reviews.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure security and compliance.
