Job summary

Zus Health is seeking a Staff Engineer to join the platform team. You will work on data services that power RESTful and GraphQL APIs, handling large-scale health records with low latency and high availability.

The role emphasizes ownership, architecture, and collaboration across engineering and product teams. Ideal candidates are experienced with Go, cloud data warehouses, and deploying scalable systems in a healthcare data context, with a hybrid Boston-area or remote (EST/CST) setup plus

Qualifications

• Experience building large-scale cloud systems in Go.
• Experience with AWS DynamoDB and data services.
• Familiarity with healthcare data and APIs (FHIR/TEFCA a plus).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers and internal users of the Zus Platform to ensure the platform meets customer needs.
• Prototype and develop new functionality across Engineering teams.
• Provide technical leadership, shaping architecture and design of systems.
• Build and operate data services driving applications and APIs.
• Coach others to grow as engineers.
