Job summary

BeyondTrust is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer to lead the evolution of the Pathfinder products within our cloud offering and own the NHI Governance domain.

You will design scalable, secure platform services, mentor engineers, and align technical direction with business goals across BeyondTrust. This role emphasizes leadership, scalability, and a strong command of cloud-native architectures and modern programming languages.

Qualifications

• Expertise in architecting and developing microservices and cloud-native solutions.
• Strong programming skills in modern languages and API design.
• Experience with AWS at scale and infrastructure as code.
• Ability to lead cross-team technical initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable platform services, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Own architecture for complex systems and define interfaces.
• Provide technical oversight and lead design for multi-team projects.
• Review requirements to identify gaps and propose simplifications.
• Mentor engineers, promoting security and cloud-native practices.
• Contribute to platform-wide initiatives aligning tech strategy with business goals.
• Drive quality, observability, and performance across services.
