Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy of Houston in Sugar Land, TX, seeks a Pharmacist to join a growing team. You will prepare medications, review orders, verify dispensing legality and safety, and ensure compliance with regulations.

The role requires a Pharmacy degree (B.Pharm/PharmD) and an active Texas license, plus 1+ year of experience and strong computer skills. You will support inventory, answer inquiries, and mentor technicians in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (Pharmacy) or PharmD is required.
• State Pharmacist License in good standing.
• 1+ year of related experience.
• Advanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience preferred/required.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in medical consulting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare medications for final dispensing.
• Review orders and cycle-fill medications for accuracy.
• Verify legality and pharmaceutical feasibility of dispensing.
• Interpret prescription orders with professional judgment.
• Adhere to all Federal and State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Adhere to all applicable guidelines for compounding.
• Transfer prescriptions to other pharmacies as needed.
• Answer questions from patients, doctors, nurses, etc.
• Evaluate inventory levels and place orders when below par.
• Notify customers if product is out of stock and when order can be filled.
• Oversee the work of technicians and provide feedback to supervisor.
• Log all error medication occurrences.
• Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed.
