Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy of Houston in Sugar Land, TX is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join our growing team. You will prepare medications, verify orders, and ensure regulatory compliance while delivering exceptional patient care.

Ideal candidates have a PharmD or B.Pharm, an active Texas license, and at least 1 year of related experience; strong attention to detail and comfort with pharmacy software are required. We offer competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree (Pharmacy) or PharmD required.
State Pharmacist License required without restrictions.
1+ years of related experience.
Advanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience preferred/required.
Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines.

Responsibilities

Accurately prepare medications for final dispensing to the patient, including filling, order entry, and packaging.
Review completed orders and cycle-fill medications to ensure prescriptions were filled correctly.
Verify the legality and pharmaceutical feasibility of dispensing a drug based on patients’ allergies, incompatibilities with current medications, frequency of refills, etc.
Interpret prescription orders, exercising professional judgment in determining whether to dispense a particular prescription, considering patient safety and legal limitations.
Adhere to all Federal and State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
Adhere to all applicable guidelines for compounding.
Transfer prescriptions to other pharmacies as needed.
Answer questions from patients, doctors, nurses, etc.
