Job summary

CVS Health Corporation is seeking a Staff Pharmacist in Massachusetts to lead pharmacy operations, dispense medications, counsel patients, immunize, and supervise the team in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager.

You will ensure safe, compliant dispensing, maintain workflow efficiency, and provide exceptional patient care while coordinating with the broader CVS Health care team. The role requires strong focus on safety, accuracy, and service.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Living CVS Health values by delivering safe and accurate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
• Oversee the pharmacy team as proxy for the Pharmacy Manager during shifts.
• Assist as the Pharmacy Manager's day-to-day counterpart when the pharmacist-on-duty is the primary pharmacist.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy workflows, safety guardrails, and proper recordkeeping.
• Provide compassionate patient care while resolving insurance and medication issues.
• Immunize patients and coach technicians to immunize.
• Manage inventory with focus on protecting cold chain products.
• Ensure compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations and CVS Health policies.
• Contribute to scheduling, coverage, and maintaining a safe inclusive work environment.
• Maintain clinical and technical skills through required trainings and CMEs.
• Support pharmacist-delivered clinical care such as testing and prescribing where permitted.
