Job summary

CVS Health Corporation is seeking a Staff Pharmacist in a CVS Retail location. The role emphasizes safe dispensing, patient counseling, immunization delivery, and team leadership under the Pharmacy Manager's guidance.

You will support operations, ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, and contribute to positive patient outcomes through clinically-focused care and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
• Overseeing the pharmacy as proxy during bench shifts and coaching the team to improve performance.
• Assuming Pharmacy Manager duties when acting as the primary pharmacist-on-duty.
• Ensuring safe, accurate prescription fulfillment by following workflow procedures and safety guardrails.
• Coaching the team to resolve insurance and medication issues and maintain patient satisfaction.
• Delivering pharmacist-led clinical care such as testing and prescribing services where permissible; expanding holistic care across the patient journey.
