Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to lead pharmacy operations in a retail setting. The role involves dispensing, counseling, immunizing, and ensuring compliance with safety standards while supporting the Pharmacy Manager.

You will help manage patient care, supervise bench shifts, coach staff, and maintain accurate prescription fulfillment and inventory, contributing to excellent patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
• Taking direction from the Pharmacy Manager and overseeing the pharmacy as their proxy during bench shifts without overlap, including coaching and follow-up of team members
• Assumes Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the primary pharmacist-on-duty
• Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures
• Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and providing care
• Proactively offering and delivering immunizations to keep patients healthy
• Managing pharmacy inventory with focus on cold chain products
• Ensuring operations are compliant with state regulations and CVS Health policies
• Maintaining clinical skills and pursuing trainings
• Supporting access to care through pharmacist-delivered clinical care where permissible
