Job summary

Meijer Pharmacy in Michigan seeks a licensed pharmacist to provide patient-centered care, fill prescriptions accurately, and maintain relationships with patients and team members.

You will mentor technicians, ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and may provide immunizations and expanded clinical services. Retail/community practice experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered and licensed pharmacist in the state of practice.
• Pharmacist degree (PharmD) or BS with license.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• Retail/Community pharmacy experience.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy systems and state regulatory policies.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• In pharmacist's absence, oversee pharmacy operations.
• Provide immunizations and other allowed clinical services.
• Adhere to Meijer policies and state/federal laws.

What You'll be Doing:

• Fill prescriptions safely accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Hold pharmacy technicians accountable for results in an appropriate and effective manner and have a vision to expand and grow the pharmacy business.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
• Competent and knowledgeable of Meijer Policies and Procedures as well as state and federal laws.
• Effective communication skills and agent of change.
• Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
• Listen to the patient and resolve patient's needs, customer service.
• In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, will be responsible for the pharmacy operations.
• Perform and oversee (where allowed) clinical services, including immunizations
