Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated pharmacist for a full-time opportunity in Fairfield, OH. This is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing retail and compounding pharmacy operation. Training will be provided in both non-sterile and sterile compounding.

Details:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Type: Direct Hire
• Shift: First Shift

Responsibilities:

1. Communicate expectations at the beginning of each shift in the absence of a Lead Technician.
2. Act as a resource for pharmacy technicians, assisting with problem-solving and task assignments.
3. Conduct pre-checks (PV1) and final checks (PV2) of prescriptions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
4. Provide clear patient counseling on medication use, dosage, and side effects.
5. Mentor new team members and provide regular performance feedback.
6. Maintain accurate medication records and manage inventory.
7. Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and protect patient privacy.
8. Support research and professional development initiatives.
9. Mentor pharmacy students or residents as applicable.

Preferred Experience:

• Non-sterile compounding: capsules, creams, gels, ointments, lotions, pellets.
• Sterile compounding: eye medications, injections (IVs).

License Requirement:

Active OH Pharmacist License in good standing (no restrictions).

Interview Requirement:

Must be able to attend an on-site (in-person) interview.
