Belmar Pharmacy Youngtown, Arizona is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to perform initial and final prescription verification, counsel patients, and support the pharmacy team in delivering high-quality care.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs initial verification including drug utilization review (DUR) on all new prescriptions.
• Performs final verification and final quality checks on all prescriptions.
• Check state PDMP when required.
• Supervise technicians.
• Provide consultation to patients and providers.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Follows all state and federal laws.
• Maintain USP 795, 797, 800 standards.
• Assist with technician duties in various departments (data entry, dispensing, pickup).
• Maintain compliance with patient confidentiality requirements.
• Meet established pharmacy efficiency metrics.
• Prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Work as part of a team in a collaborative environment.

The Staff Pharmacistis responsible forinitialand final prescription verification of all prescriptions.In addition, the pharmacist provides counseling and superior customer service to all patients and prescribers. The Staff Pharmacist supervises technicians and provides a supportive environment for the best patient care.This role involves supervising technicians and providing final quality checks, essential formaintainingthehigh standardsof Belmar Pharmacy. The Staff Pharmacist will support Belmar pharmacy management in carrying out the mission and vision of the pharmacy.

• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks on time in a fast-paced and changing environment

Physical Requirements

• Work in a variety of positions and locations such as sitting, standing, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and walking for prolonged periods of time
• Potential exposure to chemicals used in the preparation of compounds (some chemicals are classified as toxic and special safety precautions must be taken when working with the chemicals)
• Must be able to use necessary equipment such as computers, scanners, phone/headset, or othertechnologydevices as assigned
• Must be able to wear required compounding safety equipment forlong periodsof time whenrequired

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacist with a license active and in good standing (in Arizona)
