Belmar Pharmacy Youngtown, Arizona is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to perform initial and final prescription verification, counsel patients, and support the pharmacy team in delivering high-quality care.

The role requires active Arizona pharmacist licensure, ability to supervise technicians, and adherence to USP 795, 797, 800 standards. The position emphasizes patient-focused service in a fast-paced setting and alignment with Belmar’s commitment to safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist with an active license in Arizona
• Ability to obtain and maintain additional state licenses as required
• Ability to read, understand SOPs and guidelines related to processes
• Good math skills are essential
• Strong organizational, attention to detail and follow-through skills

Responsibilities

• Performs initial verification including drug utilization review (DUR) on all new prescriptions.
• Performs final verification and final quality checks on all prescriptions.
• Check state PDMP when required.
• Supervise technicians.
• Provide consultation to patients and providers.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Follows all state and federal laws.
• Maintain USP 795, 797, 800 standards.
• Assist with technician duties in various departments (data entry, dispensing, pickup).
• Maintain compliance with patient confidentiality requirements.
• Meet established pharmacy efficiency metrics.
• Prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Work as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
• Demonstrates leadership by example.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
