Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking a Staff Pharmacist PRN to join our hospital pharmacy team in Columbus, GA. You will be responsible for distribution, documentation and compounding of medications to meet patient needs, while ensuring dosing accuracy across age groups.

The role includes reviewing and monitoring therapy, supervising technicians, and engaging in ongoing professional development to maintain high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor’s or higher in Pharmacy.
• No experience required; Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties of distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff.
• Reviews, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
• Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel.
• Assumes responsibility for competency and self-development in professional pharmacy practice.
• Performs patient-focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital, to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.

Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel. Performs patient focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital, to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.
