Robinhood is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Observability team in Menlo Park, CA to shape the roadmap for full-stack observability across the platform. Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proven ownership of large-scale observability or infrastructure initiatives.
• Expertise in Kubernetes and cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Proficient in Go or Python with production code instrumentation.
• Experience building observability control planes or telemetry pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the full-stack observability roadmap across metrics, logs, traces, and alerts.
• Lead a team of engineers to deliver scalable observability solutions.
• Build cost-efficient telemetry ingestion and maintain high availability.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to map dependencies and incident workflows.
• Establish and meet SLOs with uptime targets (99.9%).
