Job summary

Hennepin Healthcare is seeking a Staff Nurse to join our OB Inpatient team. This 0.7 FTE night shift position includes every other weekend and requires training as a charge nurse. The role emphasizes patient- and family-centered care within our system.

The successful candidate will complete a maternal health capstone or preceptorship, hold a MN RN license, and graduate from an accredited nursing program. BSN is preferred and advancement discussions occur during annual reviews.

SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a Staff Nurse to join our OB Inpatient team. This position is a 0.7 FTE (7 shifts/ pay period), 8-hour shifts, Nights, Every Other Weekend. NOTE: This role will be required to also be trained as a charge nurse

RESPONSIBILITIES

Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Patient and Family Centered Care model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by:

• Protecting, promoting, and optimizing health
• Preventing illness and injury
• Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response
• Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others
• Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

• Completion of a maternal health capstone/preceptorship
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in area of clinical specialty
• BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.
