Rutgers University Correctional Health Care is seeking a Part Time Staff Nurse for the New Jersey State Prison, located in Trenton, NJ. The Staff Nurse applies the nursing process to meet the health care needs of inmates with ambulatory focus.

Responsibilities include assessments, collaboration with healthcare and security staff, and leading nursing care under institutional policies. Requires NJ nursing license and CPR; drivers license preferred.

Formación

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• License to practice in the State of New Jersey; CPR Certification required.
• Valid Driver’s License and own vehicle or alternative transport.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in nursing (BSN) is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Provides direct and indirect nursing care to residents across age groups.
• Performs assessments in intake areas, sick calls, emergencies, and infirmaries.
• Collaborates with health care professionals and security officers.
• Sets goals and plans nursing care per assessments and policies.
• Leads or acts as charge nurse and guides care by others.
