Job summary

AnMed Health in Anderson, South Carolina, seeks an experienced RN for obstetric care in a full-time role. You will provide primary and postoperative obstetrical care, perform newborn assessments, and circulate in L&D for cesarean sections and related procedures.

The position supports 36 hours per week with 7PM–7AM shifts and every-other-weekend coverage. ADNs must pursue BSN within four years of hire, with waivers for certain longstanding staff; ACSL and NRP are preferred qualifications.

Qualifications

• RN with a current SC license.
• ADN candidates must be enrolled in a BSN program within 18 months from date of hire and obtain BSN within four years.
• Preferred: Labor & delivery experience, ACLS, and NRP.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care to pregnant women during antepartum and intrapartum, and the immediate postpartum recovery period.
• Perform newborn assessment and care during intrapartum and immediate postpartum recovery period.
• Circulate in the L&D OR with cesarean sections, tubals, and D&Cs.
• Deliver primary care to the immediate postoperative/postpartum patient in L&D PACU.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the obstetrical patient's needs using the nursing process.
• Actively participate in providing obstetrical patient care as defined by the multidisciplinary plan of care.

For current AnMed Health associate degree Nurses(ADN) who were hired as RNs prior to January 1, 2013, and already working as an acute care Staff Nurse as of that date, the requirement to obtain BSN within four (4) years will be waived.
