6 South is AnMed’s 28-bed Adult Surgical/Med-Surg Unit. This unit primarily focuses on colon, lung, abdominal, bariatric, vascular, and trauma patients. They also provide care for complex wound management, ostomy patients, and dialysis patients. AnMed associate degree nurses (ADN) who were hired as RNs prior to January 1, 2013, and continue to work as an acute care Staff Nurse since that date, were “grandfathered” and the requirement to obtain BSN within four (4) years does not apply
