Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a T05 Staff Systems Engineer – Ionizing Radiation Lead in Melbourne, Florida. You will lead the ionizing radiation hardening effort through engineering and manufacturing stages, developing design criteria, analyses and test plans to ensure weapon system survivability against nuclear threat environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/PhD in STEM with significant engineering experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain interim Top Secret.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
• Experience with rad-hard design and nuclear threat environments.
• Strong collaboration and communication across dispersed teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead ionizing radiation hardening efforts across development, integration and deployment phases.
• Develop NH&S DARs and system test plans showing compliance and certification.
• Prepare and present survivability artifacts supporting requirements traceability.
• Evaluate components and models for radiation environment compliance.
