Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a T05 Staff Systems Engineer – Ionizing Radiation Lead to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The position will be located in Melbourne, Florida. As part of the Nuclear Hardness and Survivability (NH&S) team, the Ionizing Radiation Lead will have a unique opportunity to support design and mitigation strategies to develop and field a survivable weapon system with operational requirements involving the following nuclear threat environments: Electromagnetic Pulse, Ionizing Radiation, Thermal Radiation, Air-Blast and Radiological exposure.
The Candidate Will Lead The Ionizing Radiation Hardening Effort Throughout The Engineering & Manufacturing Development And Production & Deployment Phases Of The Program Providing Expertise Including The Following
T05: Bachelor of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 12 years of experience in engineering; OR Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline with 10 years of experience in engineering; OR PhD in a STEM discipline with 7 years of experience in engineering.
Must have an active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain an interim Top Secret prior to starting, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the business.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
Ability to travel 20% is required
Primary Level Salary Range: $152,900.00 - $229,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
