Job summary
Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Staff Systems Engineer in Melbourne, FL to lead ionizing radiation hardening efforts across development and production phases. You will develop system criteria, perform analyses, and present nuclear survivability artifacts for certification while collaborating with DoD customers.
The role requires a STEM PhD/Masters/Bachelors with 12/10/7+ years and an active DoD Secret clearance; travel up to 20% is expected.
Qualifications
- Bachelor/Master/PhD in STEM with substantial engineering experience.
- Active DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain interim Top Secret.
- 20% travel capability required.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute nuclear hardness analysis across programs and lifecycle.
- Develop DARs and system test plans for radiation hardening.
- Prepare artifacts for requirements compliance and design reviews.
- Collaborate with DoD customers and federal/industry partners.
