Job summary

Comtech Telecommunications Corp. is seeking a Staff Network Engineer to join the Infrastructure Operations team. You will manage the backbone supporting NG911 systems across North America, across multiple data centers, with ownership of on-prem and cloud networking to ensure automation, optimization, and reliability.

You will mentor engineers, drive architectural strategy, and lead critical incident responses in a 24x7 environment, enabling resilient and scalable networks for emergency services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT with 10+ years of hands-on network engineering.
• CCNP/CCIE or JNCIP/JNCIE certifications are preferred.
• Experience with Cisco/Juniper networking and Palo Alto firewalls; F5 or Citrix load balancers.
• Cloud networking experience in AWS; hybrid cloud knowledge.
• Strong routing skills: BGP, OSPF, high availability design.

Responsibilities

• Own network architecture, deployment, lifecycle management across development and production environments.
• Define long-term infra strategy; lead initiatives to improve scalability, security, automation, and efficiency.
• Serve as senior escalation point for incidents; ensure high availability for NG911 services.
• Mentor engineers and promote best practices and operational excellence.
• Develop and enhance network automation and IaC tooling.
