Spring Health is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to advance mobile experiences in a hybrid San Francisco role. You will own team architectures, mentor engineers, and design AI-augmented workflows that boost productivity while maintaining safety and quality.

The role emphasizes strategic clarity, cross-team collaboration, and robust engineering practices. You will shape the design system with design partners and oversee CI/CD, releases, and framework upgrades.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of software engineering experience.
• Minimum 5 years building mobile apps with Flutter and React Native.
• Uses AI to validate architecture and establish safe guardrails.
• Proven track record of technical leadership and cross-org influence.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a team’s architecture and provide system-wide design guidance.
• Produce architecture that is efficient, stable, extensible, and future-proof.
• Design AI-augmented workflows to multiply team output.
• Establish guardrails for safe and responsible AI usage across the team.
• Lead initiatives to reduce tech debt and prepare the codebase for roadmap needs.
• Influence large cross-team projects and remove barriers to delivery.
• Partner with design to define a mobile design system and UX heuristics.
• Own mobile CI/CD, app release processes, and SDK/framework upgrades.
• Communicate strategy and objectives clearly to align teams.
