Job summary

Spring Health seeks a Senior Software Engineer to develop AI-driven features that improve how members discover and engage with care. This hybrid role is based in San Francisco with in-office expectations 2-3 days per week, and relocation within 90 days for the right candidate.

You will design scalable backend services using Ruby on Rails and Python, mentor engineers, and ensure secure, high-quality code while leveraging AI tools responsibly.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails or Python in production.
• Experience integrating AI/ML features or LLM-powered services.
• Strong emphasis on code quality, testing, and security.

Responsibilities

• Integrating emerging AI technologies into the member experience.
• Own the technical design and delivery of full-stack agentic AI systems.
• Design and build scalable full-stack services using Ruby on Rails and Python.
• Expand and maintain existing web applications and AI services.
• Lead technical design reviews and produce technical designs as a primary author.
