Job summary

General Motors Africa & Middle East seeks a Staff System Engineer specializing in Mechatronic Flash Programming. You will define and implement flash-programming requirements and architectures across GM programs, driving validation strategies and enabling OTA and service environments.

The role connects embedded software, diagnostics, vehicle networks, and manufacturing execution to deliver reliable vehicle software updates with leadership across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• 10+ years of experience in Software Development with embedded or automotive applications.
• Strong experience with automotive flash programming, diagnostics, and software requirements.
• Experience developing or reviewing software, scripts, engineering tools, or test automation.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver flash-programming requirements for advanced mechatronic systems across GM vehicle programs.
• Lead programming strategies for development, OTA, and service environments.
• Partner with software, hardware, diagnostics, and cybersecurity teams to deliver reliable solutions.
