Job summary

General Motors seeks a seasoned leader to drive ECU reflashing across multiple GM manufacturing sites. You will own planning, coordination, and execution to deliver high-quality software deployment at scale, leading teams and contractors on-site.

Ideal candidate has hands-on ECU/embedded experience, strong cross-functional collaboration skills, and readiness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally to support deployment events.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in high-tempo, operational environments.
• Hands-on with vehicle ECUs, embedded systems, or in-vehicle software deployment.
• Knowledge of CAN, Ethernet, and ECU interaction fundamentals.
• Experience using diagnostic/reprogramming tools (NeoVI, vSPY, DPS).
• Understanding of EOL manufacturing and validation processes.
• Troubleshooting software/hardware integration in vehicle/manufacturing settings.
• Coordinating work across engineering, manufacturing, and software teams.
• Clear communication to align cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel 50% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead reflash events across GM manufacturing sites, ensuring readiness and quality.
• Plan and coordinate reflash events with software/engineering teams.
• Develop resource plans for staffing, deployment, and site support.
• Establish and manage the reflash environment at GM sites and provide on-site leadership.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and suppliers to standardize processes.
• Develop and deliver training with clear documentation and playbooks.
• Promote safe work environment and regulatory compliance.
• Foster inclusive culture and drive future organizational readiness.
• Build and strengthen relationships across software, manufacturing, engineering, and PMO.
• Provide day-to-day leadership and coaching to teams and contractors.
