Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices in Austin, TX / Secaucus, NJ is seeking a Staff Mechanical Technical Program Manager to lead mechanical system development for AI and hyperscale server platforms. You will own program strategy, cross‑functional execution, and deliver robust, cost‑effective mechanical solutions.

The ideal candidate has deep experience in thermal, mechanical, and structural domains, with strong leadership and collaboration across engineering and manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required; MS preferred.
  • Experience leading mechanical system development programs across full lifecycle.
  • Strong cross‑functional leadership across mechanical, thermal, electrical, manufacturing, quality and supply chain teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own mechanical system program strategy and execution across the full product lifecycle.
  • Lead mechanical and thermal system development including chassis design and cooling solutions.
  • Act as the mechanical system integrator ensuring alignment across mechanical, thermal, electrical and system architecture design.
  • Drive DFM/DFA/DFR best practices with manufacturing and supplier teams.
  • Lead prototype build cycles (EVT/DVT/PVT) and oversee mechanical validation and safety requirements.
  • Drive RCA and corrective actions for mechanical and thermal issues during development and post-launch.
