Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Flight Systems Futures team leads the design, development, and integration of advanced space-based vehicle systems. You will guide a small design-engineering group from concept to final design, coordinating PDP/ADP packages and delivering thorough engineering data across MBOMs, ICDs, and specs.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, strong CAD and MBSE skills, and proven leadership to manage cross-functional teams in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 12+ years of relevant experience, OR a Master’s degree with 10+ years, OR a PhD with 8+ years.
• Active U.S. Government DoD Secret clearance required at time of application.
• 5+ years of CAD modeling experience; familiarity with aerospace manufacturing processes.
• Experience leading Mechanical Engineering and/or technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of design engineers from conceptual to final design for a space-based vehicle.
• Coordinate PDPs/ADPs development and release through reviews.
• Oversee MBOMs, part data sheets, ICDs, specifications, and manufacturing processes.
• Coordinate electrical system engineering content and integration with other teams.
