Trystar Inc. is seeking a Staff Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design efforts for power conversion products from Merrimack, NH or Waukesha, WI (onsite).

The role emphasizes thermal management, FEA/CFD, and cross-functional collaboration with R&D and manufacturing to deliver robust, scalable enclosures and assemblies. You will drive design reviews, mentor junior engineers, and manage BOMs using Empower, PDM, and Epicor while traveling up to 20% within the USA and Canada.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum seven (7) years of mechanical design experience, preferably in power electronics packaging.
• Experience with power electronic system design (enclosures, layouts, heat management) in heavy industry or military sectors.
• Proficiency with CAD (SolidWorks or equivalent) and ERP systems.
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards (ASME, NEMA, UL, IEC).
• Ability to generate and review BOMs and drawings for sheet metal, plastic, and extruded parts.

Responsabilidades

• Perform complete mechanical design including layout, modeling, drawings, and requirements definition.
• Support thermal, FEA, and CFD analyses for product designs.
• Design and develop mechanical systems for rack-mounted equipment and power devices.
• Lead design reviews and provide guidance across product lines.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to develop PCB mounting and packaging requirements.
