Job summary

Trystar, a leader in electrical power solutions, seeks a Senior Systems Engineer I to design and integrate electromechanical subsystems across the product lifecycle. You will own portions of system architecture and requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure safety, performance, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering.
• 3–7 years of experience in electromechanical systems focusing on electrical power.
• Familiarity with systems-engineering methods (architecture, requirements, integration).
• Solid knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering principles for power distribution and system integration.
• Proven experience in testing, validation, and troubleshooting of electromechanical systems.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for electrical power products.
• Detail-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork across technical and non-technical teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and related software.

Responsibilities

• Lead system design and validation for significant subsystems or product areas.
• Own portions of system architecture, requirements definition, and traceability.
• Influence trade studies and key design decisions.
• Drive system integration, testing, and validation, including troubleshooting.
• Engage stakeholders early to expose sourcing, certification, and manufacturing constraints.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines and reinforce standards.
• Mentor early-career engineers.
• Contribute to project planning, effort estimates, and stage-gate reviews.
• Convert learning into reusable design rules and platform building blocks.
