Job summary

Trystar is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer I to lead design and integration of electromechanical subsystems, guiding architecture and requirements from concept to production. You will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure safety, reliability, and performance across programs.

This role emphasizes ownership of system-level decisions, early stakeholder engagement, and mentoring of junior engineers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering field; a master's is a plus.
• 3-7 years of experience in electromechanical systems with a focus on electrical power systems.
• Familiarity with systems-engineering methods (architecture, requirements, integration).
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering principles; power distribution and system integration.
• Experience with testing, validation, and troubleshooting of electromechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead system design and validation for significant subsystems or product areas.
• Own portions of system architecture, requirements, and traceability.
• Influence trade studies and key design decisions.
• Drive system integration, testing, and validation; troubleshoot complex issues.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines and mentor engineers.
• Contribute to project planning and stage-gate reviews.
• Convert learning into reusable design rules and platform building blocks.
