Job summary

Trystar is seeking a Staff PCB Design Engineer – Power Electronics for on-site roles in Merrimack, NH or Waukesha, WI. You will lead PCB design and layout for high-power conversion systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into manufacturable assemblies from concept through production.

You will mentor engineers, establish PCB standards, and ensure conformance to UL/IEC/IEEE IPC requirements while managing DFM/DFA issues and test fixtures.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field with extensive PCB design experience.
• Experience with high-voltage/high-current mixed-signal PCBs and 100+ A paths.
• Ability to lead design reviews and mentor junior designers.

Responsibilities

• Lead PCB placement and routing for power electronics with high voltage/current.
• Own designs from stackup definition to production release.
• Develop layouts up to 2000 VDC / 600 VAC and 100+ A paths.
• Ensure creepage, clearance, insulation, grounding and EMI/EMC compliance.
• Define stackups, impedance, routing constraints and fabrication needs.
• Collaborate on schematic, packaging, thermal interfaces and ECAD/MCAD integration.
• Coordinate with fabricators to resolve DFM/DFA and testability issues.
• Create footprints, libraries, standards; lead design reviews and mentor others.
