Job summary

MSA, The Safety Company is seeking a Mechanical Engineer at Staff I/II/III level in Cranberry Township, PA. The role focuses on defining mechanical design requirements, driving product lifecycle, and supporting sustaining engineering across multiple projects.

You will perform detailed design and analysis, develop test plans, and create robust documentation while mentoring interns and coordinating with a variety of stakeholders to ensure quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited program preferred
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering required
• Staff I/II/III levels with 0-2, 2, 3+ years respectively
• Experience with SAP Engineering and document control

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain mechanical design requirements and drive product lifecycle
• Perform detailed mechanical design, analysis, and troubleshooting for new and sustaining engineering
• Lead sustaining engineering by investigating performance issues and implementing corrective actions
• Develop and analyze validation and verification test plans for performance and reliability
• Create 3D CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation
• Identify improvements and validate solutions to meet outcomes
• Support Voice of Customer activities and propose design improvements
• Plan projects, manage priorities, and meet milestones
• Prepare technical reports, test summaries, and evaluations
• Present analyses and recommendations to stakeholders
• Mentor interns and co-ops with guidance
• Support IP activities and patent evaluations
