We seek a Staff Mechanical Engineer to sustain and advance advanced energy instruments, addressing performance, reliability, and manufacturability across cross-functional teams.

The role requires deep mechanical design expertise, collaboration with manufacturing and suppliers, and leadership of small teams.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of related experience with a BS, or 8+ with MS, or 5+ with PhD.
• Strong mechanical design and analytical skills.
• Experience with high-volume manufacturing processes (injection molding, MIM, stamping, extrusion, machining).

Responsibilities

• Work in cross-functional teams to understand performance, supply chain, manufacturing, cost, and field issues.
• Identify, develop, test and document solutions meeting customer and design requirements.
• Analyze and test instruments; develop DOEs, collect data, and report results.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and suppliers by reviewing processes and fixtures.
• Drive anomalies and non-conformances to closure; root-cause investigations.
