Job summary

Celestica is seeking a Staff Engineer, Mechanical Design to lead the physical design of our energy infrastructure portfolio, bridging early customer discovery with formal engineering execution.

You will collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and engineering teams to translate complex requirements into scalable mechanical systems with structural integrity, thermal performance, and grid compatibility.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field required.
• Experience taking complex mechanical assemblies from concept to deployment.
• Strong knowledge of DFM/DFA and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Interface with clients to interpret specifications and translate requirements into mechanical specs and ICDs.
• Lead technical scoping for proposals as SME, defining executable scopes of work.
• Design and analyze 3D concepts, enclosures, frame weldments and sheet metal assemblies using CAD and simulations.
